Meet the Maven: Pamela Slagle

Corporate Flight Attendant | Breathwork Practitioner | Founder of Beyond Breathing

We’re honored to welcome Pamela Slagle to the Maven Within Retreat this September, where she’ll guide us through a powerful breathwork session designed to ground, soften, and reconnect us to the wisdom of our bodies.

A seasoned corporate flight attendant, Pamela brings a rare blend of presence and peace to high-pressure spaces. She’s spent years in the skies delivering exceptional service, but her true calling now extends beyond the cabin. Through her work with Beyond Breathing, Pamela helps others rest, release, and remember who they are beneath the noise—using breath, energy work, and intuitive guidance as her tools.

Whether she’s in the galley mid-flight or leading a group through deep inner stillness, Pam leads from the heart. Her presence is calm, radiant, and real.

In Her Own Words

What does authentic leadership mean to you?

“Authentic leadership is the embodiment of truth, integrity, and heart. It means leading from within—guided by intuition, compassion, and a deep connection to purpose. To lead authentically is to hold space, uplift others, and model the courage it takes to be fully oneself in a world that often asks for masks.”

How do you stay grounded in high-pressure environments?

“Breathwork is everything. I practice it daily—and even sneak it in during flights when I can, usually in the galley. I also dance, listen to music, and meditate. It helps move energy and bring me back to center.”

A moment that redefined success and purpose:

“I’ve made good money in aviation, and I love being of service. But becoming a mother—and later discovering energy healing—shifted everything. Now, success looks like helping other women believe in themselves and revel in their own strength.”

How do you protect your energy and values?

“I’ve learned to say no. I no longer stretch beyond my limits just to please others. I stay grounded through rituals—gardening, nature walks, paddleboarding, playing with my dog Ro, and daily breathwork. Being kind to myself is now non-negotiable.”

What excites you about Maven Within?

“I’m honored to lead breathwork for a room full of flight attendants who understand the demands of this career. This retreat is a space to reconnect, exhale, and truly listen—to each other and ourselves. It’s beautiful to witness the excellence, strength, and compassion our community holds.”

I feel most like myself when...

“I’m in the kitchen, cooking or baking something nourishing. Creating food is my way of expressing love and joy.”

Workshop Spotlight: Breathwork with Pamela

Pamela will lead a restorative breathwork session designed specifically for the realities of corporate aviation—where calm often needs to be found in chaos.

In this session, attendees will learn accessible breath techniques to use:

  •  In-flight, during moments of turbulence (external or internal)

  • Pre-service, to ground and reset energy

  • In transitions, between demanding legs or long days

  • At home, for decompression and nervous system regulation

No mat or experience needed—just your breath, your presence, and the willingness to pause.

Pamela’s tools are gentle yet powerful—designed to bring clarity, calm, and self-connection, even 40,000 feet in the air.

Why We Can’t Wait to Learn From Her

Pamela shows us that leadership can look like a steady breath, a grounded yes, or a gentle nudge back to our own center. Her work invites us to slow down, drop in, and trust that we
